Jess had an arm around each of the kids, holding them close as the taxi drove down the street. One of her ears turned toward Paulo, allowing her to not only hear him but also the ringing on the other end before someone picked up the phone.

"Martina, it's me, Paulo... Not too good... We had our car robbed here in Moetown, and the ruffians left it behind wrecked... We'll stay here for the night... No, we are all okay... No one's hurt. We're alright... I'll see what we'll do. Don't worry with Matthew... He's being very nice... We're on a taxi going to Police District to see about the car. Okay, till tomorrow ..." you hear me saying

Jess listened as Samantha's call went very similarly. As the call ended Jess couldn't help worrying about her phone and whether it would still be in the car or not. There was specific information she'd put on it from surfing the internet the night before that made her wonder if it was indeed a random robbery...or if there was more to it than that. She'd spent half the night trying to find info about the schools mean cheerleaders, only coming up with a few leads...One of which was that one of the cheerleaders came from a rather 'influential' family.

As we arrive Ryuugaoka District, a officer Yamashima goes to us. "I think you're Salvatore-san. I'm Ruygi Yamashima." Says the officer, that has a tanuki tail and ears

"Hello Mr. Yamashima. You said you had found what was left of our car?" Jess asked as all of them got out of the taxi.

"Yes, please come with me." He says. When we get to the car, the front side it's totally destroyed. "We already contacted some guys for repairing, but even they having the parts, will take the night to repair the car. We contacted Ponda for help, and they send all the parts ASAP
You see me going to the back and opening the trunk, the backpacks there. "Considering everything, that's not too bad." I say, giving everyone his own pack. "We just need to find a place to sleep here."
"My mom has a inn next here. Maybe you'll like also that there's a shrine next and today is a festival for the shrine's deity.", says the officer
You search for your phone and you see that it is on your pack, unharmed, as your stuff.

Jess let out a sigh of relief. She didn’t know why she had been so paranoid. The cheerleaders were so full of themselves she doubted they actually had some geeks sitting on computers keeping an eye out for any web searches on them. “Well…We did want to see some of the sites. Let’s see if they have any available rooms and check out the festival.” She smiled, taking the children’s hands.

We can see the pension from the officer's mother, that looks like a old japanese inn. As we enter, we see that everything is clean, neat and minimalist. We are received by the officer's mother, who also have tanuki's ear and tail.
"Hello, my friends." Says the woman, who have gray hair and wrinkles, as she's an old woman. "Think my son send you here." She says, smiling.
"We need some room for the night." I say
"We have two rooms remaining, so you can leave the ladies on one, you gentlemen on another." She says, and you see me pushing the wallet, passing my credit card to her.

"That sounds good, thank you." Jess smiled, looking around at the lobby. "You have a nice place here. Very clean." She said, lifting her camera up from around her neck to take a few quick pictures.

"Oh, that's nothing." She says "I just try to keep everything clean and in place." She says, as she shows the rooms: japanese style, with two futons each and some space for our bags.

Jess went about placing hers & Jessica's stuff in a corner while the little mouse tried out the futon. "Heheh this is like a sleepover." She giggled as Jess looked over. "I guess it is. Wonder what kind of view we got." Jess smiled, walking over to the sliding door that she figured led out into the garden or something given it had no lock.

You see there's still cherry flowers there. "I think you'll like the festival on the shrine there." Says the woman, pointing the shrine on the foot of the mountain next. "Today is a festival day for the shrine deities and gods that protects us from youkai." She says

"Youkai?" Jess said, looking away from the mountain to the woman. "Who or what is a yokai?"

"Youkai are a kind of spirit beings, mischievous ones. Many are someway inoffensive, just playing tricks, but dine are very evil, destroying everything. In this neighborhood, the mountain deities are the protectors against the youkai, and we praise them every year with the Festival." Says the old woman

Jess noticed Jessica seemed a bit nervous after hearing about the youkai. "Well then..." Jess said, walking over to the little mouse. "We'll have to make sure we're on our best behavior when we go to show our respects." She smiled, wrapping an arm around Jessica in an attempt to comfort her. "Umm mam, before you leave I noticed this room doesn't have a restroom or wash room. Where would we go if we needed to use the bathroom or wash up?" Jess asked as the woman started walking out of the room.
