Josie nodded. For the first time, she felt ashamed of it.

Noticing the look on Josie’s face Dona reached across the desk. “It’s not a bad thing dear. I had trouble going through my changes as well…although I guess our circumstances are different.” She said gently. “Would you believe I was once a stick of a nerd? Flat chested, almost no butt, and a face no one really looked twice at.”

Josie looked surprised. "R-Really?"

Dona nodded. "Yep. Its often still hard to believe the woman looking back in the mirror is me. When I first ended up like this I lost myself in it. I flaunted my looks, tried to turn the eye of every guy I passed. I fought with my reflection for a time as well...Although my reflection was my old self rather than the trouble maker you're dealing with. The fighting grew so much that one day I looked in the mirror and she was gone. It took falling to a dark place for that part of me to return. We no longer fight when facing each other, but that's because we've balanced ourselves to be the same person." She said, sitting back and telling Josie of her own experience.

"Sorry if I seem to be rambling on...One old habit I have yet to break myself of." Dona said, blushing a bit. "Guess what I'm trying to say i try to please your reflection a bit without fully losing yourself to your change." She smiled before pulling a file out of her desk. "Now lets get to setting you up for your hopefully temporary stay here in the toon world. Normally we'd give you an apartment, but given it says here you're still a minor we need to figure out lodging with someone that will act as your guardian."

Dona typed something on her computer before turning the screen a bit. Josie was able to see a bunch of pictures, some of just two people, some of two adults and some kids, some human looking, others some type of animal anthro. "Now Josie, why don't you tell me a few of your likes & dislikes and we'll try to find you a good temporary home."

We like to sharpen our claws on the furniture, and any place where we can get fish... The voice said in a soothing manner. And of course some place with someone who likes to knit with yarn...

Josie got a dazed look in her eyes and began to repeat what the voice was saying.

Dona looked at her confused before typing the info in. "You feeling alright Josie?" She asked after Josie told her she also liked a place with a porch that gets plenty of sun.

Josie blinked away the glazed over look in her eyes and shook her head. "I-I'm fine..."

Dona looked skeptic but turned her focus when her computer pinged. "Well according to your interests there are a number of families that would fit your needs. All are a variety of cats." She said, showing Josie the different families. One were anthro tigers, one of the kids a white tiger. Another family looked to be a bunch of scraggy looking alley cats while one family looked rather fancy. "See any family you'd like to know more about?" Dona asked as more cat families scrolled by.
