"Thanks." Minda said as she got up, not liking being called a child. "Are you Mr. Nightshade?" --- Bob quickly jumped off the box. He stared at it, unsure if he'd actually heard anything. When he heard it again he looked around for the box's latch. --- "Well Alice, there's no going back through the looking glass. Only forward." Jess joked, trying to ignore the fear she felt from being seperated from the others.

"I am indeed. Welcome to my palace of delights." he said as he stepped out from the shadows. His skin was pale white, and but he had minimal clown designs on his face. a black line struck through each eye, and a think red smile graced his lips. He wore a top hat and a silver jacket with tails. --- The latch was on the backside of the box. It was locked with a heavy padlock though. --- "Lost?" came a voice from the dark corner of the colorful room.

"Palace of delights?" Minda asked, thinking it an odd name for a room. "Look if you don't mind I have some questions for you." ---- "Of all the days to forget my lock kit..." Bob said as he looked at the lock. He quickly looked around for something to try and bah the lock with. --- "Uh... a little bit." Jess said, turning toward the voice.

His thin red lips curled upwards. "I am all ears, my dear." he said softly. --- In the corner, something caught the light and was glinting. Perhaps this was a key or something. --- Out stepped a chubby clown wearing a purple coat. He looked professional, with a tie and dress suspenders holding up pinstripe pants.
"Gyro T. Clown at your service. That's pronounced JAI ROW, not Gir-o. I am not a greek sandwhich!"

"Well first, why do you have that can of dust above the door?" She asked, finding she couldn't remember some of the questions she wanted to ask. --- Bob quickly got up and headed over toward the object. --- "Well JAI ROW," Jess said, making sure she pronounced Gyro's name right. "How do I get out of here and back to my friends?"

"Dust? Oh that. It was nothing. Just a little prank." he smiled. --- It indeed was key, which was guilded with gold. It shined brightly in the dim light, almost having a light of its own. --- "Ah, well, Miss...um...what was your name?"

"Alright, next question....ummm..." Minda said, trying to remember something to ask him. "Oh, do you know what the clown room is supposed to do?" --- "This should take care of that lock." Bob said, picking the key up and looking it over. He started to head to the box as mumbles and pounding could be heard. "Keep you panties on, I'll have you out in a minute." --- "Its Jess. Just Jess." She said.

"Well, my dear, it's meant to introduce you the happiest individuals in the world. Us!" He laughed as he patted the female clown on her butt. --- The lock clicked and popped open. It would be easy to get the box open now. --- "Well, jess, I don't know how easy getting out is. I've been trapped here for some time now. I don't even remember when I came in here"

"Introduce? So this rooms just a place for people to meet clowns?" Minda asked. --- "Yes. Now lets get you out of there." Bob smiled, as he took the lock off and flipped the latch up. He lifted the top of the box and looked inside. --- "Darn..." Jess said, looking back at where she'd come in. It was nothing but a wall now.

"Yes, and to see how awesome we are, and how amazing a clown life is" the girl said. --- "Thanks, Mister" said a female clown. Inside the box was a two foot tall woman dressed as a clown. "It was getting hot in there." --- "The door leads to a strange abstract world full of clowns like me, but it's not where you want to go."

Minda looked confused at Lolli's words. As she stood there the next question popped into her head. "Could you show me?" --- "Uh, no problem." He said, staring at the short clown. "Need help out?" --- "It's not? Then where do I want to go?" Jess asked, waving her hand around at the room.

"Oh, she wants you to show her, Boss!" she said to Mr. Nightshade. He smiled. "Child, I will do my best." --- "Yes please!" she giggled holding her arms up like a child might. --- "Well, I dunno. Only clowns go through that door." he said simply with a shrug.

"Stop calling me child. My name is Minda." She said, a bit annoyed at being a teenager and yet being called a child. --- Bob grabbed the short clown under the arms and lifted her up. "There you go Ms...." He said, setting her down. --- "Well I'm not a clown, but what is there to do in here?" Jess asked, walking over and sitting in what she guessed was a chair.

"I mean nothing by it. You are most certainly a child compared to me" he said. "I am older than most people walking around in your world, perhaps older than all of them." ---- "Dolly." she stated as she brushed herself off. "Whoo, that was no fun. Thanks, Mister." --- "Not much, I'm afraid." he said before his eyes lit up. "We could get you through that door though and see if there is a way back! We could disguise you!"

"Oh. But you don't look that old." Minda said, looking at Mr. Nightshade as she tried to determine his age. --- "Call me Bob. Exactly how did you get locked in there Dolly?" He asked, looking back into the open box. --- "Disguise me? With what, the lamp shade?" Jess asked, gesturing with her thumb. "That is a lamp right?" She asked, looking the funky piece of furniture.
