The sun was setting as a young woman sat on the hood of her car. She'd broken down on a road in the middle of a forest half an hour ago, and was frustrated that she couldn't get a signal on her cell phone. The nearest town was still about twenty miles away. On the passenger seat was a letter she believed had been delivered wrongly to her. It was from a grandmother to her granddaughter, but neither of her grandma's lived on the otherside of the country. As it started to get dark she prepared to spend the night in her car. As she reached for the driverside door, see noticed faint lights in the nearby forest.

After breathing a sigh of relief, the young woman decided she would investigate the source of the light and hopefully find someone to help her start her car. She had to hurry before it got dark, so she immediately locked up her car and headed towards the light. Unbeknownst to her, the wrongly delivered letter resided in the back pocket of her designer jeans.

After walking a short distance into the woods the young woman could see a small cottege. She smiled when she saw a figure pass by a window. She walked up and knocked on the door, hoping whoever lived here had a way to help or call for help. "Finally. You had me worried Mrs....Oh, your not Mrs. Winston." A young man said in surprise as he saw the young woman standing there. "She must have gone to get somethings for her granddaughter." He said to himself. "What's your name Miss?" He asked, returning his focus to the person standing at the door.

Feeling a bit pit off by such a forward question, she answered, "Hello my name is Claire, my car just broke down not to far from here and I was hoping that you'd know somebody who could help me out."

"Well Claire, there is someone in town who could help. However, Mrs. Winston doesn't have a phone so I'll have to give you a lift." The young man said stepping back. "But first I want to make sure Mrs. Winston is okay. Please come in." He smiled.

"Oh thank you so much, You don't know how relieved I am to be out of this nightmare" She replied as she followed the man inside.

"Something tells me your not used to a being in a place like this." The young man smiled, closing the door behind her. He lead here to the living room and offered her the couch. "My name's Will by the way." He said, sitting down across from her in a chair.

Being a city girl her whole life, the country cottage was definitely not her style. Making a quick look over the cottage's primitive layout, She just hoped she wouldn't have to stay here for very long. In an almost uninterested response Claire answered, "Nice to meet you um.. Will. When do you think we can get going? I do have some some engagements I need to get back to."

Will looked at her a bit confused. "What's so important that you need to be off in a hurry?" He asked. "I doubt it's just your car." He said as she noticed a picture hanging nearby. Looking at it she saw a plump old woman, Mrs. Winston perhaps? Next to her was a very fat teenage girl in her high school graduation gown. The strange thing was the happy fat teenager could have been her twin, if Claire were a couple hundred pounds heavier.

Almost getting lost staring at the photograph, Claire snapped back to reality and replied in a rather pretentious manner, "Well I do work at a rather popular, independent magazine that I have to get back to, and without a working cell phone I can't contact anyone to let them know I won't be able to finish my latest project on time, Not to mention all the social events I'm surely missing." (She was a little bit shocked that she revealed so much of her personal life to this less than affluent stranger sitting across from her.)

"That does sound important." Will said before standing up. "I guess I can always drive back out here to check on Mrs. Winston. Lets head to my truck and I'll take you into town." He said, offering a hand to help her up.

"Oh that's good to hear" she said as she rose from her seat denying his offered hand.

Will frowned a bit as she walked back to the door. "My trucks just out back." He said, rushing after her as she headed out the door.

The truck wasn't much but if it was going to get her home she didn't care. She stood next to the passenger door waiting.

Will started to head for the driver side door when he noticed Claire waiting. He quickly walked around and opened the door for her. "Miss." He smiled, giving her a slight bow.
