TRIO

Prologue - Meet the Trio
Being bored on a late Sunday afternoon is one of the worst things known to man, and this was no different for three young adults walking down the streets of their town.
"Fuck, this is so lame." Said a 24 year old girl named Emily. Her black hair whipped as she ran to catch up to her boyfriend, Frank. Frank was 25, and looked like he played college football. Tall, well built, he was a girl's dream, and Emily knew it. She grabbed his arm tight as she looked behind.
"Catch up, Phil." She said to the third member of their party. He was slightly chubby and sort of the odd man out in the group.
"Yeah Phil, catch up to all the fun stuff we are doing." Frank said sarcastically. He stopped walking and let their friend catch up. Frank patted him on the shoulder. The three of them looked up and saw something that took them by surprise. It was a store that they had never seen before.
"Chuckles Joke Shop." Emily said as she looked up at the sign. "Where did this come from?"
"It wasn't here last week?" Phil said.
"Well, why don't we go in and take a peak?" Frank laughed.
He pushed the door open and a loud HONK filled the room. The three were a tad shaken by this, but aside from that noise, there was no one in the shop.
The cashier counter had a small card on it that said "Stepped out. Head to back room for assistance."
The store seemed chock full of strange items, mostly gag gifts and costumes. It smelled of cotton candy and popcorn. Emily looked around at some of the items and laughed. "Heh, Tiny Cream. For those who want to be a bit smaller. The hell is this?"
Frank picked up a bag of some sorts "Youth Dust. Huh, what an odd product."
Phil grabbed at a toy ray gun that said "Slobbofier." In neon colored letters on the side. "This place is dumb."
"Yeah, let's get out of here." Emily said.
"Oh, come on, let's head to the back room, like it said. This is at least interesting. Out there is boring."
Phil and Emily sighed and nodded as the three of them headed to the back room. They passed through an archway with a beaded curtain, and then into the room, which had two doors. One said OFFICE on it, and the other had a sign that read. "For fun, Knock Three Times."
Frank grinned and knocked once, twice, then a third time. As he did, the door flew open, and all they saw was a wall of swirling colors, and for a second, they felt amazed, but that ended quickly when the three of them were sucked into the wall of colors, and the door slammed shut behind them. The sign on the door then read "Gotcha!"
Each of them were surrounded by waves of colors, as if they were lost in a waterfall of paint. They could see each other falling slowly, drifting through the colors, almost peacefully.
Soon they felt like they were coming to a stop, and as each did, the colors around them swirled harder, and their friends vanished. Each of the three where whisked away from each other and into an adventure that would change them forever.
What follows are the strange tales of this trio.
