"Okay... I think we had some more questions and I have some nickels here." I say, taking other 5 cents and pushing it into the tin. "Okay, so here is a world where cartoons lives. Why we are here? And there's another humans here?"
"No one knows." said the blue-dressed kid "No one knows why human came here. Some people says that some type of portals are open, but no one knows the real truth and neither why this happens. But I think there are some other people here... But no more humans. Looks like the toon world turns everything on toon with time." She pushes the coin I just put on the tin and show us. It has now a cartoony quality: we cannot say why, but it don't look "real" anymore.
"And we are turning into toons?"
"Maybe. What I can say is: look to the Toon Central on The City. Maybe there you can learn more about what's happening." She says, lifting the on plate and switching it to an "off" plate, going away with a baseball bat and glove, putting a cap over her hair.

"Great...This day just gets weirder andweirder..." Jess said before realizing something. "Hey wait! Which way is this Toon Central?" She asked, calling after the girl.

The girl just point the buildings on the City.
"Maybe we just need to go to the City and ask someone there. At least we know where to go." I say

"Yeah..." Jess said, following Paulo as they headed for the city. Unlike the park which had had a few toons wandering around and enjoying themselves, the city was packed with toons rushing about.

"Well, at least we'll not need to search too much." I say, pointing one of the buildings. It looks very official, compared with the other toon buildings. A plaque written "TOON CENTRAL" can be seen
When we enter, there's an atrium almost empty, some toons going around, doing things. A Mickey Mouse lookalike is on a booth with an INFORMATION banner over it.

"Um ecxuse me. Could you possibly help us?" Jess asked as they walked up to the INFORMATION booth. "Of course, that's why I'm here. What can I help you with?" The Mickey lookalike asked.

"Well... We need to know about this world and if humans like us could have any problem here."

"Well this new paint we have has had some odd effects on humans. But since it helps make our clothes and such burn resistant we've ended up using it in a lot of stuff." He smiled. "As for this world, Toon Town is the central hub. There are a few other places toons call home, but a lot of them require travel to get to from here."

"Odd effects? You say, turning humans on toons?" I say, but the Mickey Mouse clone can see I'm not so worried "The main worry is: it can be hurtful or dangerous for humans?"

"Hurtful, no. Dangerous, don't think so..." He said, thinking about it. "Think so?" Jess asked with a worried look. "Well it has been known to affect a human's brain, making them think they've always been toons...But that only happeneds after prolonged exposure."

"Well... I think that prolonged exposition is measured on months, years perhaps. But... how could we detect if we are turning into toons?" says Paulo.
"Some people says that ink spots can be seen on points of your body that'll be toonified some time before happens. And sometimes the color of that spot help people to discover who they'll be after toonification."
You see me agreeing with the toony mouse, than you see me feeling weird. Then I ask the toony mouse to push my shirt over and look my back. In the spine base, a little over the butt crack, a black spot can be seen.
"Looks like it'll start for you." say a little mischievous the mouse. "But the transformation isn't all around."
"What?" I say, when I put my shirt and my jeans a little out of way. You can see a black, fluffy tail starting to grow from my spine base. You can see it growing pulse by pulse. Then you see that a pair of white stripes can be seen on it.
"A skunk. Very uncommon." says the mouse.
You see me taking the tail, now on the chest height and sniffing it. "Well, till now, no stink."
"You'll have your stink some time on future, but not for now. For now, just appreciate your tail." the mouse says. "Tell you what. These clothes looks awful and uncomfortable on you. Let me lend you a camisole or something so you can walk comfortably till you buy some adequate clothes."
"Looks sensible." I say, looking my now big skunk tail. I start to think on moving the tail and it moves like a big fluffy appendage, black with white stripes and question mark shaped.

Jess looks at Paulo's changes, a little worried about what might start happenning to her. "Is there anyone we could see that could stop the changes...or at least slow down the rate at which we'll change?" She asked the mouse, not noticing a spot on her right arm starting to change color.

"Maybe a toon doctor in the hospital." said the mouse, giving Paulo an overall. The butt of the overall have a hole so he could put his tail on there. "I don't know if someone could cure or slow down the transformation, but I think a toon doctor could have a response, if someone have. How do you feel, mister?"
"Weird, but not bad. The tail is not that bad, and looks charming. I think that this will be worse when the stink appears." I say, pushing the tail into hole in the overall.

"Which will hopefully be the last thing to come." Jess said, wrinkling her nose at the thought of the stink. "So how do we get to the hospital from here?" She asked, scratching at the bright pink spot on her right arm.

"haha, don't worry... Toon Skunks can control the amount of stink they exude. Some can ever give knots on their tails, blocking the stink gland, don't stinking at all." The mouse says, looking for Jess' right arm. "Look like a bunny for you." He comments nonchalantly.
He pushes a map of The City and makes some notes. "There's a bus till the Hospital. It's not that far, either. It's easy to recognize: the big white building with a red cross on it."
