A relaxations detour.

[observer]

"For my first trick I'll be making someone in the audience appear on stage." She said once the crowd had calmed down a bit. "If my lovely assistant will hold up the curtain in her hands..."

Heckner took the curtain and held it out.

[observer]

Julie said a few magic words and Heckner saw a fit young woman in a sports bra & jogging shorts appear out of thin air. Julie dropped her end of the curtain, Heckner following shortly after recovering from her surprise of the woman appearing. "What the...How did I get up here?" She said, looking around confused. Heckner noticed a couple people in the crowd looking at an empty spot between them, probably the spot the young woman had been at before ending up on stage.

Heckner made a presenting gesture towards the woman, causing the crowd to cheer again.

[observer]

"Now Ms. if you'd be so kind to tell us your name." Julie smiled, trying to get the girl to relax a bit.

[Deleted]

"My name's Angie" the woman said, a little more calm now. Heckner looked at Julie waiting for her next command.

[observer]

"Well then Angie if you would wait right over here we'll have you help with the next trick. Lovely assistant, could you please go get the hippo cage?"

[Deleted]

Heckner went to the back, backwards not taking her eyes away from the audience, still smiling. She returned with the hippo cage.
"Here you go!" She said in the girliest fashion she could.

[observer]

The crowd and Angie looked at the large cage, a symbol of a hippo on the white curtain over the front of it. "Now Angie if you'll just step inside we'll begin the metamorphosis trick." Julie smiled, guiding the young woman over to the cage.

Heckner started to feel a bit scared, what did julie have in mind? She hoped she wouldn't have to feel guilty in a moment.

[observer]

As Angie steeped into the cage Julie gestured for Heckner to close the cage door. "Now as most of you probably know this trick is often performed with a tiger, but I thought we'd go with something more fitting for our lovely town." Julie explained, rolling the curtain up so the crowd could see Angie standing in the large cage.

Heckner looked Angie in the eyes, she again seemed like she was going to panic. Heckner closed the door, and took a deep breath.

[observer]

"Now now Angie, don't worry. I'll change you back once we're done." Julie smiled, a little twinkle in her eye making Heckner wonder if that were true. As Heckner stepped back from the cage the curtain dropped, a light coming on behind the cage to show Angie's silhouette.

Heckner saw her body starting to slowly change. First it was just her skin, which was hard for Heckner and the audience to see change. But then her legs and arms started to become smaller.
Heckner could hear the terrified cry from inside the cage, but only Heckner and Julie could hear it.

[observer]

Even though Heckner knew Julie didn't need to wave her hands like she was, it was still unnerving to watch the poor girl changing in the cage. Her body started to put on weight as a short tail started to form over her butt. Heckner cringed as Angie's cries began to get deeper, her nose and mouth pushing out.
