"Tracy?" the box replied, still mumbling as Dawn knelt down to pick it up. "Another newcomer?"
"TWO more." Dawn corrected him, setting the box right-side up again and facing the door. "The one in front kicked you and the one in back is Tracy."
"Ohhhh... Well, thanks for not kicking me!" the box said to Tracy. "Welcome to the suddenly-crowded Lounge! Did you stop by just to browse, or were you hoping for something a bit... more? Dawn, show 'em."
Dawn simply held out her arm to the side, gesturing to the huge bowl of water on the counter. "Ladies, this is Sonja. Our first 'customer.'"

"That's a customer?" I asked.
"It looks like a bowl of water to me."

"I've been having a strange day." The water said, bubbling as it spoke. "Dawn, maybe you should give me that solution so I can take on a bodily form."

"Since when can water talk. I mean, I know this is a strange place, but...lord." I said as I glanced down at the bowl of water.

"Well, you know, no one knows who is doing what in this mansion. Maybe the water in the dish right there might talk to me all of a sudden." she said, and shrugged. "And hi there. My name's Kita. Nice to meet you." she said in a more cheerful mood, turning towards the other newcomer.

"Oh dear I'm bad with crowds..." the box muttered. "Well, Tracy and... Kita, you said? I work on a first-come, first-serve basis, so please excuse me for a moment... Dawn? Sonja still needs that thickening ag-"
"I heard her." Dawn interrupted, turning to the basin and holding her hands out over it, that same look of concentration on her face again.
"...Ahem. Yes." was the box's somewhat curt reply. "Very good. You do that; in the meantime, ladies, why not-"
Whatever was about to be suggested was suddenly cut off by a dry hissing sound, like sand being dumped. As bizarre as things had been so far, none of the visiting ladies likely expected what was now happening: Where Dawn's hands had been were now two cascading jets of a whitish powder, pouring out of her sleeves and into Sonja's basin.

"Whoa..." Sonja said, surprised and intrigued by the feel of the powder being poured into her. As the powder stopped being poured in she felt the powder absorbing and mixing with her watery form.

"What in the whole wide world are your arms made out of?!" Kita shouted. Sure, she had seen tons of bizarre things, but she had never seen someone's arm become jets of white agent.

Dawn couldn't answer; she merely smiled a bit as her head vanished down her shirt. As the jets of white powder finally ceased pouring, her clothes fell to the floor. Empty.
"Her arms - and the rest of her, for that matter, are made of whatever she chooses." the box answered in Dawn's stead, sounding a bit proud. "In this case, I believe she's chosen... silica, maybe? See, my dear assistant is what is known as a homunculus; an artificial human capable of... Well, it's a rather long story. Suffice it to say, she's not quite a human, but she can certainly do some superhuman things."
The white powder that had been Dawn a moment prior began to churn, stirring itself into Sonja and quickly turning the clear water into a runny white goo.

Sonja felt a bit woozy as she mixed with Dawn. She was still a bit surprised that Dawn was the powder mixing with her, wondering what that would mean for her once they were fully mixed.

'It means you'll be able to hold your shape better thanks to our combined form's non-Newtonian fluid properties.' was Dawn's reply. But she hadn't spoken aloud like Sonja... had she? 'Sorry to intrude like that. I can sense your thoughts, so I thought I'd give you a quick mental rundown to return the favor.'

'Oh...Okay.' Sonja thought. She couldn't help but wonder if it would be like this until they separated. 'Should I try forming now?' She asked as the mixing slowed down.

'Go for it.' Dawn urged. 'And don't worry, I won't poke around in your thoughts again unless you ask me to. Just pretend I'm not even here.'

"Why does Sonja need the thickening agent, anyway? Can't she hold a form on her own?" Kita asked.

"With some mental exercise, yes." the box answered. "But she was having some difficulty, and it was taking her quite some time, so I offered the thickener to her to make the changes quicker and easier. Think of it like... training wheels, basically."
