The girls that they had taken looked up at where the guy was pointing, they tried to get up, but the ones that held them held them tight.
She had to do something quickly before they could catch her, or before they could burn the others...

"Wait! There not witches?"

The crowd looked at Ty in anger.

"Oh yeah, why should we believe you?"

Asked on of the moon members. Ty thought it over for a second and finally replied with.

"We'll...because I can't do magic."

"She's probably lying" one of the others said. "I saw her cursing my wife once!" another yelled

"No no that wasen't me. That was um, my cousin that looks like me and doesn't really like people. She curses at people all time."

Ty says in a desperate move.

"None of those girls are guilty either. Like I said, my cousin is know to curse multiple people in a day. Even we are convinced she's a witch at this point."

"So you're in family with witches?" one of them asked, the rest exchanged looks and seemed to agree "we'll have to burn her, just to be sure"

"Yes, I think I saw her head towards the woods. You should leave the rest of the girls you have here with me while you go find her. They might run off while in the woods."

Ty suggested. She hopped that this would work.

A fatter man in a nicer set of clothes came wadeling towards the group of people. He was dressed in a nice suit, with black and white vertically stripped pants and brown leather knee hight boots. This scenario was clearly not entirely historically correct. He was old, and he was entirely shaved, but there were still some stubs of hair left. "What is this?" he asked "why did you stop the burning, our city is infested, and it's your duty to get rid of the plague"
"Sir, this woman just said-" before he could finish his sentence, the old 'sir' held up his hand in a sign for him to shut it "I heard her, you four, find them and bring them back for burning, the rest will burn these four"

This was bad. It seemed as if Ty and the three other girls were surely screwed at this point. Ty really needed to think of something fast. Just then, a random man ran by. He appeared to be frantic about something, he needed to tell someone something important.

"Hey, did any of you guys hear? They said there's a whole swarm of witches in the next town over. A friend of mine says they need as much help as possible."

The old man (probably the mayor) hit him with his cane, it made a strange clank sound like something was inside it, nobody seemed to notice...
"We must cleanse our own city first, the king promised chivalry to arrive when the sun rises tomorrow, they can wipe out the pests there. We have plenty to burn here before the crusaders come and burn us all!"

"Hey Mr. Mayor. What's that odd sound that came out of your cane?"

One of the men in the crowd asked?"

"It sounded hollow, there might be something inside."

A woman suggested.

"If you keep annoying me, I can guarantee you'll find out. Get on with the burning, time's running out"

Then he just walked away he and the two knights who came to him earlier, while everybody else were focused on the mayor himself.

It seemed like Ty and the other girls at this pointed were pretty fucked. Though it did seem like quite a few people were focused on the major. Though it might be the last thing she could do. Ty Decided to give it a shot.

"A WIZARD'S CANE! HE HAS THE CANE OF A WIZARD!"

Ty shouted, it almost could have sounded like it came from the crowed.

The mayor stopped, and the crowd stopped.
"Bring them..." he said, just loud enough for Ty to hear.
The guard looked at him confused "Excuse me?"
"Bring them into the royal yard, I want to see them drown! all three of them!".

The crowd did as they were told, they had ignored Ty outburst.
The host was not making this easy.

As the crowed brough the four women over to the royal court. Ty was beginning to get legitmatlly scared.

"Think Ty think, there's gotta be a way to draw attention to the major again."

The crowd set the four women up near the large lake. The lake itself was very deep as well as boggy.

"We shall now test the potential witches. If they down, then they are pure. If not, then we shall burn them."
Announced one of the guards.

"Wait what kind of test is that?!"

Ty asked.

"if you turn out not to be a witch, you'll die with honor and dignity" the mayor smiled, this was not about who was a witch or not, he was just bitter over the accusation, Ty realized this before the she and the three others where pushed over the edge and now falling towards the cold water...
