After that life was pretty good. Vanessa gave up fattening people and opened a vegan restaurant. Elizabeth and May still work as maids but do it with a smile. Jessie grew up to own her own bakery with her mother as her number one customer. Alexis became a teacher at a nearby elementary school. The mermaids continue to populate the lake of the room. As for Emily, she and her husband and children live happily together. The end.
