"Mmm." Dana smiled, enjoying the bit of cookie dough as Ruby and Minda alternated flattening the dough. Once it was spread out and flat the group each took a cookie cutter. "Can I make one for Alex? I know she's too young to eat it, but just so she has her own decorated cookie." Dana said as she finished licking the spoon clean.

Smiling Dana cut out two shapes while Andy went about cutting his. "Should we get everyone else while the cookies are cooking so they can decorate them?" He asked as Ruby and Minda each cut out a shape.

"Let them explore and do their own thing a while longer. We can bake them and decorate ourselves.' Minda said.

"Alright." Andy said, cutting out a few more shapes. After setting the shapes on a cookie sheet Ruby balled up the remaining dough and rolled it out again. Cutting out a few more shapes they placed the cookies in the oven and set a timer.

"And what about the little bit of excess dough?" Andy asked, looking at the golf ball sized bit of dough.

"There really isn't enough for a cookie. Its just leftover dough." Minda said.

"Yeah, but we could still eat it as is." Dana said. "You mean raw? Were you doing that while we were cutting the cookies?" Andy asked. "Yeah, but grandma let me do it before."

"If it's not a snack then why put it in ice cream?" Dana asked. "Not sure, but mom is right." Andy said, making his way toward the trash can.

"Its not normally a good idea to eat this raw." Andy said tossing it in the trash.
