"I am your queen! Yes we had used a spell to make our stomachs like black holes, but it was the prior king who invited us to the challenge long after the spell was cast." Jess said, her eyes glowing as she looked at the demons. "We weren't looking to cheat him. He was looking to cheat with that one dish we still managed to eat. Therefore the cheats cancel each other out. Understand?!" Jess bellowed, her voice sounding deeper.

"Hey, if Minda could eat me while part demon I'm sure I can do the same." Jess smiled. The 'part demon' is what had Adele a little unnerved. The demonic energy she'd sensed around Jess before had intensified when she'd yelled at the demons.
