"What are you talking about? She's never mentioned anything like that." she said.

"So, even as a kid she never wanted to be a clown?" Andy asked.

"Those are some weird questions rattling in your head." she giggled. "Maybe you need some more sleep too."

"Maybe..." Andy blushed. He had been sure he'd seen images of her as a kid when they were fused, dressing up like her mother. He wondered if perhaps she had kept her growing disdain for clowns from her parents.

"But...was there any time when she started acting weird?" Andy asked. "Hmmm. Come to think of it, she did start to act a bit strange once she mentioned seeing this weird fortune telling machine. But I assumed it just showed her something horrible." she said.

"Wait, did she describe what the fortune telling machine looked like?" Andy asked, getting a raised eyebrow from his mother.

"It looked like one of those old ones with the man inside and the two controllers sticking out that allow you to see the future." she said. "Why?" "No reason." Andy said. "Well, better go put my little funny girl to bed. Thank you for looking over her." she said picking Katie up.

"No problem." Minda smiled. "I figure you'd do the same if one of my kids was asleep at your place." She said as the small clown easily carried Katie out.

"Bye..." she said walking out. "Andy...what was that about a fortune telling machine?" Minda asked. "Well...a few months back, there was this fortune telling machine sitting outside an old building. You put in a quarter and you get to see your future for maybe 5 minutes, maybe more." Andy said.

"But such machines can't really show the future." Minda said. "This one could...It showed me a future at school, and some futures to Lidia and Nicole."

"Really?" Minda asked. "Yeah. And from the sound of things, Katie probably saw it too."Andy said. "So where is it?" Minda asked. "I dunno. I wanted to try and view the future again the following day but the machine had vanished." Andy said.

"That's a shame. I'd like to have examined it myself." Minda said, a hand on her chin.

"Well you might. It may not be entirely gone. If its magic, it may have just gone to another part of the city." Andy said.

"Maybe. I'll have to keep an eye out for it next time I'm out with Alex."
