After watching over the eggs for an hour it looked like they wouldn't hatch yet. "Guess I should tuck Bob in. Surely he's done eating by now."

As soon as she left, one of the eggs were jumped a bit and starting to crack.

The cracking continued until a snout poked out. As it worked on breaking free of it's egg it let out a few chirps.

Elsewhere, many years later, under the earth's crush...
Dinosaurs still roamed that lone jungle as within was a small settlement where people were living in peace with a few dinos.

They wore clothes weaved together from leaves and carried around spears. One girl was excitably petting her dino companion as today was the day she officially became a woman.

"Maybe we did once...But seeing all of our children, and our children's children makes us regret nothing." She smiled, putting an old hand to Shale's cheek.
