A Battle of the Heart (Observer)

Hephaestus smiled, his hands caressing her body. While she hoped to figure out a solution to Bob and Minda, for now she decided to relax and focus on her own relationship. As the two rolled around in the sheets a bright glow enveloped them.

[The Master of the World]

"Oh, now what is this?" Aphrodite said.

[observer]

"Has it been so long you've forgotten, my love?" Hephaestus smiled. "The glow of a love so bright and pure."

[The Master of the World]

"Wow...and I tried forcing this on a couple of mortals." she said.

[observer]

"Did you?" He asked, the glow dimming a bit.

[The Master of the World]

"Bob and Minda. I thought I could force this on them by cursing their rings." Aphrodite said.

[observer]

As the glow faded completely Hephaestus shook his head. "My love...Trying to force such a thing on mortals is risky. While for us gods letting the love sputter instead of finishing results in a little tiredness..." He said before placing a hand on her cheek. "For mortals it can be risky. Releasing it all at once will bless them, but letting it sputter out like we did now...It can take a toll. No wonder the curse took hold of them." He said. "You're lucky they love each other so much. The curse could have been much worse..."

[The Master of the World]

"Well hopefully it'll fade after a few days." Aphrodite said.

[observer]

"As long as they don't try again too soon it should." He said. Hephaestus lied back, getting a headache before Aphrodite felt a similar one. Resting their heads on the pillows they closed their eyes. It would be some time before either of them was back to work, but at least they had each other.

"Night...my love." both said at the same time.
