After May had told the clone of Minda something she was not aware of, the clone was speeding down the highway before reaching the beach. "What is wrong with me? Am I even me? I just don't know." she said before looking to the open sea before steeling herself as she jumped right into it. "Ocean...please...just take me away..." she thought as she slowly lost consciousness.

For a moment she thought she was dead, but she could still feel as she started regaining consciousness. She thought she heard voices...

"She's waking up." "She is? I'll get the others." She heard two voices say. Looking around her vision was somewhat blurry. She reached a hand to her head in pain before realizing she couldn't feel her legs.

"You're going to be okay." they said. "What...what happened? Why can't I feel my legs? Am I paralyzed from the waist down?" she asked.

"Legs?" They said in confusion. "I don't know if you're paralyzed, but we found you drifting with the currents a week ago." They said as she saw them move down toward her legs. "Can you feel this?" They asked as they reached down.

"Afraid not. We were hoping you could tell us that." They said before the other one returned. "I brought the guards." They said. "Guards? Am I in some kind of prison?" She asked as she tried to sit up. Something felt off about the air.

"Fins?" she pondered before looking down and seeing her legs were not one big fish tail. "Am I a...mermaid?" she asked.

"Duh, what else would you be? You sure as heck aren't a manatee." The one said. "Though she does dress strangely..." The other said before more figures swam into the room. "What have you learned about her? Is she a threat?" The captain of the guard asked.
