Quietly they entered the temple. There were lit torches but no sign of the cultists or their captives. "I can hardly see..." Cam whispered. "There's a set of stairs through that alcove over there. They look to be heading down." Karen said.

Getting to the bottom of the stairs they found a hallway ahead. While the hallway had doors and passages, straight ahead they saw the torches and cultists. "Can you see what they are doing?" Cam whispered.

"No clue. Looks like they may be gathering in a circle." Karen said.

She got close and saw a demonic circle in the ground and the bodies of some of the villagers lying there.

A few had strange symbols on their foreheads as they cried. Some begged and pleaded. "Strange...Where's Henrietta?" Karen thought. She was startled as some of the torches started to flare up.
