"Yes, boss." the two of them said as they sat down for breakfast.

"Good. I've already got the milk cans ready for whichever one of you handles the milking. So all you have to do is empty the buckets into them." She said, starting to fry some sausage. While that was heating up she readied a skillet for some pancakes. Soon the kitchen was filled with the smell of breakfast.

"Okay, guess I'll go this time." Gina said heading out.

"Guess that means you get the fields Patti." The woman said as Patti was finishing up her breakfast. "And make sure to check for any signs of critters." She said as Gina walked out of the house. It was a little breezy, but Gina knew that could easily change as she headed for the barn.

"Okay girls. Time for a milking." Gina said to the cows as she started milking them.

The cows softly mooed, hardly paying her much attention. "Hope your breakfast was as good as ours." Gina smiled, softly patting one cow's side as she got up and went to pour the full bucket into a canister.

"Ah...so nice tending to you animals." Gina said as she sealed up the canister.

"You girls are a lot easier to deal with, and talk to." She said, moving over to open the door to the grazing field.

"Okay, go out and graze, ladies." Gina said as the cows moved out.

Once the last one was out she closed the barn door. It was easier to keep track of them if none were already hiding in the barn. Not to mention easier for when the milk got picked up.

"Hmmm" she said as the wind slowly picked up. "Whoa...winds feisty today."

"Maybe I better give Patti a hand." She said, securing the barn and hurrying off to the fields.

"Already? I'm not even halfway through." Patti said, her hat getting blown off as she held onto a basket. "Thought it wasn't supposed to happen until tomorrow?"

"I guess it came a day early." Gina said.
