The maiko tried to remain calm as her tail lightly swished back and forth. Through the door walked a young woman dressed in a green button up shirt, overalls, and a red handkerchief around her neck.

Nodding Minda began pouring it. "So what's life like on the farm? Do you tend mostly to the crops, or to the animals?" Minda asked. "The animals. Pa and a couple others tend to the crops." She said, taking the cup of milk as Minda finished filling it.
