"So glad we decided to record those for the family." Minda smiled as she hung up. "Though it's hard to believe only a few more years and all the kids will be grown and focused on their own lives." She sighed. "Guess we better make the time we have with Alex count."

She then went to prepare dinner.

Alex sat in her room was writing in a large book next to a number of others with things like Age or Plant written on each one.

She was focused on the book when there was a knock at her door. "Alex, you busy?" Her mother asked.

Opening the door Minda walked in. "Oh, writing down everything you've learned about your powers?" Minda asked.

"Smart, though I'm sure even without it you'd be smart enough to get in." Minda smiled, walking over and kissing her daughter's cheek. "So which book are you working on right now? Nerd? Clown? Toon?"

"Ah. Well your sister and her family will be arriving in a few hours. Mind making sure things are tidied up in here?" Minda asked.

"That should be good for now." She smiled, closing the book and setting down her pen. Getting up she stretched a bit before walking over to check her phone for any messages.

"Hey Alex. What have you been up to today?" Kat asked. "Writing some more entries in my books. Was working on fusion." Alex said. "Nice choice." Kat giggled. "What about you? You working today or are you off?" Alex asked.
