Walking down the drive way Alex looked back, hoping her father would change his mind. Seeing no sign of him she reluctantly made her way to the bus stop. She didn't care much for school cause people often made fun of her hair.

"They're just jealous cause its awesome." she said as the bus approached. "Maybe they'll ignore me today." she said as she got on.

Walking to her seat she saw a few of the kids staring at her. Feeling nervous she sat down and looked out the window as the bus driver closed the door.

Alex just stared out the window, lost in thought as the bus continued on to a few more bus stops. She was surprised when during one of those stops someone sat down next to her.

As Alex thought over whether to look or not it seemed the person who sat down decided to choose for her. "You have rather bright hair. Is one of your parents a clown?" A girl asked as Alex turned to look at her.

The girl sitting beside her had short orange hair and was dressed in a yellow dress. "Hi, I'm Kathrine." She smiled. "Um...Alex." Alex said.
