"I doubt I'm that childish." Minda said dusting herself off as she got up. "Uh huh, sure you are." Alex said, trying not to giggle. "Is there a reason you came looking for me, or was it just to make fun of your old mom?" Minda asked.

"I doubt you're going senile on me sweetie." Minda said. "Oh, right. Burger or chicken?" Alex asked. "Chicken obviously. If we hadn't been stuck with only enchanted pork I might have had that instead." Minda said before getting back to looking for the hiding kids.

Making her way back down the hall she headed down the stairs to give her dad the three orders of chicken. As she reached the bottom of the stairs she saw Dana and her husband passed out on the couch. In Dana's lap was the Age book, only a few pages in. "Really hope that's the drive and the kids that wore them out." Alex said to herself.

Walking outside she tried to get her mind off it. "Everyone else wants chicken dad." She said before sitting down. "Alright...Everything okay?" Bob asked.

"You sure? You look a little bummed out." Bob said. "Just waiting to hear Dana and her husband's thoughts on one of my books..." Alex said, not wanting to tell him they were asleep. She hoped it was just exhaustion, but the nagging feeling wouldn't go away.

"Unless you're worried you were bragging a little too early." He said, hoping to snap Alex out of it. "I wasn't bragging." She said in a huff. "Then there's no reason to worry. Your sister knows how much work you've put into those books, as do your mother and I. You put in just as much hard work as Andrea did getting her degree."

"Good. Now how about helping me with seasoning these chickens and burgers?" Bob smiled. "It'll give your mind something to focus on." He said. "I don't know...Mom's butt sticking out as she looked under a bed for my nieces and nephews seemed pretty distracting." Alex giggled, getting a chuckle out of her father as well. "That it is. Don't forget though that you could end up with a butt like that someday...Or a butt like your 'big' sisters."
