"Of course." the woman said as she got up. "It's not that far." Jemima picked me up and held me close, carrying me out the door.

Parts of the hedge opened up, revealing an old wooden door hidden in the bushes. "In here." she said as she unlocked the door.

"Anything! I'll do anything!" she said, almost in tears. Did she really feel that strongly for him, he thought.

"Both of you lay down next to one another." she said. Jemima sat me down by the nearby bed and then laid down next to me. The woman ordered us to rest. My eyelids became heavy for no reason as I slowly drifted off to sleep.

Jemima woke up with a startle as she felt ill. She looked down and noticed that I was nowhere to be found. She began to worry even more.
"You're free to go now." the woman said. "He'll have his limbs back soon enough."

He was nowhere to be seen. Something felt wrong, but it might have just been her nerves.
