"Well...we're here." Luci said. "So what's this curse you have been talking of?"
"Its the Dragon's Curse of course." Chroll said.
"A curse of greed huh? I've heard of it. It makes those under its influence horde treasure and precious items, causing them to slowly become dragons." Luci said.
"Yes. If everyone here becomes a dragon, they will be easier to control." Chroll laughed as a golden dust dusted the city. "After all...dragons are nothing but mindless beasts."

Minda woke up with a yawn, smiling when she saw Bob still sound asleep with one arm draped over her waist.

"Ah. Still sound asleep.' she said as she noticed something on his arm. "Scales? I must still be dreaming a little." Minda said as she slowly got out of bed.

Stretching some she walked out of the room to get started on breakfast.

"Hmm. Wonder what I should make for breakfast this morning? Maybe something tasty like waffles or..." she said before hearing large wings outside. "What on earth?" she said heading out to the backyard.

Looking up Minda was startled to see what looked like a dragon flying over the house.

"A dragon? But...how? I wasn't aware of any dragons living near the area." Minda said.

"Maybe Missy knows..." Minda said as something glinted in the light as it fell from the dragon. Looking down in the grass as it landed Minda saw it was a bright red ruby.

"A ruby? Where did this come from? Was the dragon hoarding treasure?" Minda pondered.

Crouching Minda reached out and picked up the ruby. Turning it over as she stood up it seemed to shine brightly.

"Wow...it does seem pretty...precious." Minda said unaware of green scales forming on her arms.

Looking around she held the ruby to her chest before hurrying back inside. She needed to hide this somewhere safe before anyone realized she had it.

"Now for breakfast." She smiled, hurrying up the stairs and back to the kitchen. As she cooked though she couldn't get the thought of the ruby out of her head.
