"A clone?" Kaia asked. "An exact copy, both physically and mentally." May said. "Though she freaked out over something and stole my motorcycle the last time I saw her. She headed for the beach and by the time I got there she'd vanished into the water."

"Vanished into..." Marina said as something came back to her. "That's...that's right. I remember. I was panicking over some memory I didn't know and...I threw myself into the ocean to try and drown."

"Surely there's more to it than that..." May said. Marina shook her head. She could see a vision of herself calling out in the surf, but she couldn't hear them over the pounding of the waves on the shore.
