Heading into her apartment Jasmine let out a sigh of relief as she closed the door. "Now what to make for dinner..." She said, walking over to her fridge.

"Hmm...let's see...oh. Ravioli's." she said grabbing a box as she put them on a tray and got them in the oven.

Setting the timer she got herself a glass of water and sat down. "Lets see if I can finish this book before the timer." She smiled, grabbing a book she'd gotten from one of her neighbors.

"All right." she said as she started speedreading through it and memorizing it instantly.

"And done." She said, setting the book down on the counter. Looking over to her timer she sighed when she saw it was still a few minutes. "Shame I don't have super cooking powers." She sighed.

Soon enough dinner was ready. As she sat down to eat she heard a knock at the door.

"Sorry to bother you Jasmine, but someone called out sick at work." A guy said, holding the hand of a little girl. "I can't get ahold of my ex either...Mind babysitting for a few hours?"

"Great. You behave until your mom comes to get you." He said, kneeling down and kissing the little girl's forehead. "Yes daddy." She nodded as he left her with Jasmine. "Have you had dinner yet Maddy?" Jasmine asked as she closed the door.

"No maam." she said. "Here, we can split mine." Jasmine said giving the girl half her raviolis.
