It all happened so suddenly, just out of nowhere, a vast shroud of mist had suddenly appeared out of nowhere, sticking to a specific spot somewhere high up the mountains. And those who have ventured inside to discover its secrets have not returned. A misty place such as this has caught the eyes of some of the city's residents and agents.

"Any chance the meteorologist at the station knows what's going on?" Bob asked June. "No. They are just as surprised by its sudden appearance. And even with the light breezes blowing through it isn't moving." June said.

"This is bizarre." May said. "This fog...its likely created through some form of magic."

"I better get Missy on the phone then. See if she has ever come across this before." Bob said before looking to Gina. "How is the research going? Any towns or campsites up there? Maybe even backpackers that might have been there when the mist set in." Bob said.

"I'm getting life signs on the inside but no ones come out. As far as I know, there are no settlements or campsites in this area." Gina said.

"Quarantining that part of the mountain will be tough. There are multiple ways up the mountain. Only the eastern side should be fine given some of the steep cliffs." Sabrina said. "We need to see about gathering a team and planning out exploring without getting trapped in there." Bob said as the phone rang. When Missy picked up Bob explained to her about the mist on the mountain. "Know anything about something like this happening before?"

"Fraid not. There's nothing about magical mists or anything of the such." Missy said.

"Great. So we're going to be going in blind." Bob sighed. "Best keep the team small...Gina, do you know if we have any coils of cable in stock?" Bob asked. "A few. Are you thinking of sending a team in on lines?" She asked. "It's the only way we can be sure we can get them back out."

"Meaning one person will have to stay out here to man the cables." Gina said.

"Any volunteers?" Reina asked. She was curious about the mist and wanted to go in.

"You sure? I mean May might want to..." Sabrina said. "The best way for me to study and examine the fog is to go in." May said.

"So me, Gina, Sabrina, June and May." Bob said. "If we aren't back in an hour, activate the winch." Gina said.

"Will do. Hopefully we can stay in radio contact." Reina said. Loading the gear, they needed up in a few vehicles the group headed up to the best place to set up the winches and enter the mist.

"Okay...so far so...good?" Gina said as after entering the mist for about five minutes, it seemed as though they stumbled into an entirely different city with people standing and walking wearing white masks, some were faceless except for a smiling mouth while others had eyes and mouths.
