Hello Friends.
If you've been a visitor to these forums for any period of time, you'd know I don't normally do this, but I am about to speak out of character. Pleas forgive the intrusion of real life into our fantasy Mansion.
For the next week, things may get hectic in my real life, due to a family remember going in for surgery. I'd be fooling myself if I didn't say it was a major surgery, but it is, in the overall scheme of things, is a minor surgery, and I am sure in my heart they will make a full and wonderful recovery..
Monday (Today) and Tuesday may see me disappear from these forums for this reason. Then again, I may be here to keep my mind off of things while I wait to hear back, but if I do disappear, you'll all know why.
I ask that if you can, keep my family in your thoughts over the next few days. It's going to be rough, and very stressful.
Forgive me for rambling, I just wanted to let you all know what was going to happen over the next week or so.
Thanks for your time. And now I hand it back to Lord Hugo. Have yourselves, as always, a great time here on the sites, and I hope you all have a great week.

trust me, i understand. there's been so many hospitals in my life in the past couple of months i've started sending posts cards. heck, i think i'm the only one i know who's managed to stay out of one (knock, knock, knock)... so i understand that even relatively minor issues (compared to significant others) are nerve wracking to say the least.
still, you're right, it's nice to have a place like this to escape to
we all have our own personal issues, even those that are likely to blow over take quite a toll on us...
but the grass is always greener on the other side, right; there's always a light at the end of the tunnel and... well, you get the picture. if anything, these sorts of things simpely take time and paticence, but rarely more than that. but regardless, my thoughts go out to you and your family...
we'll keep the porch light on for when you get home!! ;D ;D ;D

Ooh dear. I know how it feels to have family in hospital. I completely understand, and wish the best to you and yours. Good luck to 'em, mate.

Thanks for all the kind words, all of you. Yesterday's major operation went incredibly well, and everything is okay. We have one more minor operation today, and then the recovery process begins.
My family appreciate all of the kinds words, as do I. It means the world to me.

Even minor surgery can be major. It all depends on what happens in the room at the time. So, just be well. And know things will be okay. And I'm being too positive.

better to be too positive than too little positive.

I have yet to check in, but the surgeries all went well, and said family member is now home (which is sort of miraculous for the type of surgery he was having) and is on the mend. Thanks for all your kind words and support. I want you all to know it means the world to me to have your support.
