Feeling like an idiot, I make my way up the steps of...what is probably the most massive house I've ever seen. It's kinda intimidating, really, standing by itself out in the middle of nowhere, no cars parked out front or anything. I just passed it on the way out of the city. And it brings up a lot of worrying feelings.
I mean, I've been looking for some place to stay ever since I got fed up with my crappy old apartment and moved out. Mostly I've just been sleepin' on friends' couches and stuff, but I'm feeling guilty and nothing beats having a place of your own. But this doesn't seem like the type of place I'd belong...assuming they're even renting out rooms. Ha!
Figuring it's a long shot but willing to try anything, I nervously knock on the door.

A few seconds passed and the door slowly creaked open. There stood an older man, looking quite dapper in his suit.
"Welcome there..." he smiled. "Welcome to my home"

"Oh...hello," I replied, surprised that the owner of the mansion himself would answer the door. "Umm, I was wondering if you were renting out any rooms? I-I don't listen to loud music, I keep things neat, and I'm looking for a job, but I've got enough money to afford rent for the first couple of months..."

"Well, I don't often rent out rooms, but you are in luck, I just so happen to be doing so at the moment"

I breathed a sigh of relief. "Oh, thank you so much! I had about given up hope, every place I've seen is either in awful shape or overpriced...or both. I hope I'll be able to afford the rent for a room in this huge place. Have a date in mind for when I should move my junk in?"

"Hold up. You don't even know how much I am asking for the room." Hugo mused.
