"Said host must give themselves willingly. However the host is only useful so long as they are alive. If killed the devil will attempt to infect those around them. The black blood spat up by the dying host doesn't need a lot to infect someone. Even a bit as small as a grain of sand can create a new host."

It had been weeks since the devil incident as the citizens continued to go about their business, especially Marina who recently gained her own clinic.

She was seeing the last patient before her lunch, a young mermaid that had been stung by a jellyfish. "This is why you need to not panic. A slight brush isn't anything to worry about, but flailing about caused the area you were stung to grow." Minda said, applying some gel before wrapping the child's arm with seaweed.
