"My best guess for clear greenish-blue stuff." was the response. "Couldn't get the bottle to make seashell noises when I held it to my ear though. When I had ears, I mean..." the rambling stopped for a moment before it seemed to register that you'd drank from the vessel. "...Wait, did you just... No, that wasn't-... ...crap. Um, Dawn?! Dawn, get me a basin, stat!"
A door you hadn't noticed earlier opens as the potion begins to take effect.

"Huh, basin? What's wron...." She started to asked before noticing her arm starting to turn the same color as the liquid in the bottle. Her legs then started to feel wobbly. As she fell forward she saw why, they were starting to liquify. "What the...?"

Gravity is fast. But Dawn was faster. A young woman in clothes no less than two centuries out of their time, she strode through the door and pitched low a large ceramic bowl (for lack of a better word) despite it having to weigh as much as she herself, all in a single fluid motion. With a loud scraping noise, it skimmed the floor like a huge frisbee, coming to rest in front of your falling form.
A loud splash was heard, followed once more by the voice: "Nice shot."

"What...What happened to me? Why can't I move?" The woman asked, her watery form bubbling and sloshing about as she spoke.

"Because you've been liquefied, silly!" the voice responded as though it were obvious. "Into seawater, specifically. As for moving, you can. See, you're percolating and such already! You just have to build up your brainpower a bit in order to control yourself better. It's... hard to explain, honestly. Just try and stay calm. Focus on your surroundings. What do you feel?"

A few bubbles sputtered as she tried to calm herself. Soon her liquid form was still as it sat in the bowl. "I feel...flexible...loose..." She said, trying to focus.

"That's a good thing." came the reply. "Now, try to reshape yourself. It's tricky, but you have to sort of NOT focus. It's like... You need a mental image of what you're trying to form, but if you focus too hard on it you'll just wear yourself out. Feel free to try whatever shape you want; obviously a human body is kinda... complex. So don't be worried about messing up. No pressure, OK?"

"O-ok..." She said. She figured it would be best to start with baby steps. She began making a mental image of a pyramid, thinking shapes would be easy to start with.

The box wasn't capable of smiling. But the voice was nonetheless jubilant at the progression being made as the water began to swell and rise, and in a fairly uniform manner no less: "Oh, you're getting it already...! Soon as I saw this mansion, I knew that I'd find people with a knack for learning fast! Excellent work-... ...uh..."
A brief pause, a spark from the box, and suddenly it sounded a bit sheepish: "Um... I just realized I never asked your name."

"It's Sonja." She said, her form bubbling a bit yet keeping its progressing form. Soon it looked like the seawater in the bowl had been frozen into a pyramid shape.

"Well, Sonja," the voice said, "you're showing a lot of promise all things considered. Have you done this before?"
Dawn, meanwhile, had begun taking notes of the situation, scribbling on a notepad and milling around the room in search of various instruments.

"No, never done anything like this before." She said, instinctively shaking her head. This caused some water to be splashed out of the bowl as she started to lose her shape.

Dawn had been approaching the basin with a thermometer. She knelt down to get a temperature reading... just in time to get splashed with a face full of Sonja.
"Sonja!" the voice said, alarmed at Sonja suddenly being in multiple pieces. "Are you hurt?"

"No...but I feel weird." She said, her form returning to its neutral state in the bowl. She could sense the part of her that was outside the bowl.

"Can you move?" asked the voice. "Or shall I have Dawn fetch a mop?"
"Water is terrible for the linoleum..." Dawn muttered, wiping her face.
